Nearly one month after graduating with her bachelor's degree, Mel Orrell '17 (Gloucester, Mass.) continues to set firsts for Southern Vermont College as the women's lacrosse alumna was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) 2016-17 Academic All-America Division III Women's At-Large Third Team on Tuesday.
Following an outstanding four years at Southern Vermont College, 2017 graduate Mel Orrell (Gloucester, Mass.) was named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Female Senior Student-athlete of the Year as announced by league commissioner Del Malloy on Tuesday.

SUNY Oswego has awarded Merit Scholarships to a select group of students who are starting at the college in fall 2016. The Merit awards are $3,000 over four years. For non-New York state students, the total award can increase to as much as $39,000 in combination with a Destination Oswego scholarship.

The Roger Williams University Engineers Without Borders student club traveled deep into the mountains of northern Dominican Republic during Spring Break to provide a design solution for a serious public health issue.
During the week of March 7th, 16 Emmanuel students participated in the College's annual Alternative Spring Break (ASB) in Boston, Massachusetts, learning about, connecting with and taking positive action in the community in which they live and learn. ASB is a week-long, faith-based service trip held during the College's traditional spring break that bridges volunteer work with education and reflection on larger social issues.
